Acupuncture is a whole systems medicinal approach to health. This centuries-old holistic method uses multiple modalities to bring harmony and balance to the body and mind.

Based on the principle of natural healing, acupuncture promotes homeostasis, a state of equilibrium that allows our mind and body to relax and repair. Over time, our health can become compromised by stress, poor diet, inadequate balance of physical activity/ rest, and trauma (mental and physical).

These compromises cause a shift in our being, causing ailments such as pain, depression, insomnia, emotional strain, menstrual irregularities, auto-immune conditions, digestive issues, chronic diseases, illnesses, allergies, infertility, and more.

Acupuncture revitalizes the wellness of the whole being by adjusting the circulation of blood, bodily fluids, and energy which maximizes longevity, promotes optimal wellness of the body/ mind, decreases pain, and increases mental clarity.

Different modalities are used in acupuncture: needles, ear seeds, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, liniments, and herbs. Most commonly, thin and single-use sterile needles are used to promote changes towards your goal of wellness. Each acupuncture point has a different function and method; the technique used to insert and adjust the needle is individualized for your treatment. Some cases will call for additional modalities and will be discussed at each appointment. This individualized medicine calls for personalized treatments; each person has different needs and answers to the root cause and current symptoms.
